The weather channel is blaring with news of tornadoes, damage and destruction. We are just at the beginning of this season but God has a plan. Pray for those that were affected, family and friends and those still in the path of the storms. I have family and friends in many East Coast states and I pray for their safety. After moving in 2009, from Florida, hurricane alley, storms and heat to Oklahoma, tornado alley, I did not expect to have blizzards two years in a row and spring last year, 2010, flooding and tornadoes and major hail storm that would damage buildings and cars. We just had our roof fixed at our apartment complex and panels replaced along with painting almost one year later.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalm 91:2 NKJV
I did not expect to have a stroke or have muscles that do not like to work. Nor have to deal with walking, writing that almost gets my daughter into trouble at school because they thought she was forging my signature, my sadness about not being able to do all the housework I did before (what! sad about not doing housework?!?) , or not being able to enjoy the freedom of leaving our apartment anytime I wanted. Some days are painful but I continue to try my limited exercises or make my breakfast and sometimes lunch. While there can be a lot said about what I go through each day I do not want to dwell on the negative. In fact I refuse! I do have some moments that sadness tries to overcome but I have an all-in-one package, He who is working in me.
"And I will ask the Father,
and He will give you another Comforter
(Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby),
that He may remain with you forever--
The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive
(welcome, take to its heart),
because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him.
But you know and recognize Him,
for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you."
John 14:16-17 Amp
Thankful that we have a Comforter that is with us no matter what we are experiencing. Whether it is bad storms, health related, job issues or loss, loss of family, financial issues, even the good things in life, no matter what! He can be your comforter, guider, healer, helper who will meet you where you are in all things. But as a reminder, even I need at times, that we must allow Him to work, asking Him and believing.
"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Matthew 21:22 NKJV

Hi Sara,
The weather sure is crazy! I will and have been praying for your area and the eastern states.
I am sorry you are struggling so much with those muscles of yours. Keep claiming healing and continue to trust in Him to restore you to complete health.
Every now and then the RA flares in my wrists and toes and I just go into prayer for healing telling God remember, You healed me and the enemy cannot gain back ground. I am reminded to rebuke this sickness and tell Satan to take a hike. Always, in a matter of a few hours to a day the flare leaves me and I am fine again.
Rebuke Satan and claim the health that Jesus has for you. Command your muscles to work in the way that they were made to.
I will continue to pray for you.
Blessings,
<><
Hi! Sara, Oh! girl, I will be praying for peace in the midst of that storm, we have already been through 2 days of that! PTL~ His protection was over us here in E.Texas. Keep your Faith! God is Soooo~ Good!
I'm so sorry you are in such pain from the stroke. I have days of pain from Fibromyalgia and Arthritis, but I'm sure it can't compare. Isn't it comforting to know that God did indeed send us a Comforter. And that He will answer our prayers faithfully. The answers may not be what we thought they should be, but our God is in control, and He knows what He's doing!
Thank you for your prayers for our family. God is in control and I am so glad to have Him to rely on. I can't imagine life without Him. It would be so much harder than it already is!
